長南畳店は、「畳を次の世代に残したい」という想いから生まれたミニ畳専門店です。
オリジナルブランド＜Joe＞は、伝統の畳をもっと身近に感じていただける、“畳＝敷く”という概念をなくした、自由な発想でお使いいただけるミニ畳です。

＜Joe＞は、製作歴20年のクリエイターが一つひとつ丁寧に手作り。
熊本県八代産の天然い草や和紙畳表、さまざまな畳縁を使用し、デザインにもこだわっています。
インテリアのアクセントや飾り台、仏具・手元供養の台座、オーダーメイドミニ畳にも対応しております。

• 直射日光があたる場所では、い草の色が変化することがあります。経年変化も畳の“味”としてお楽しみください。
• 天然い草製品は水分が苦手ですので、水濡れは避けてください。
• 手作り品のため、サイズや柄の出方が写真と異なる場合があります。

Chonan Tatami is a mini tatami specialty shop founded with the hope of passing traditional Japanese tatami culture on to the next generation.
Our original brand, <Joe>, is a unique mini tatami mat that invites you to enjoy tatami in new ways—beyond the traditional idea that “tatami is only for flooring.”
<Joe> can be used freely as a decorative accent, a display base, or as a stand for Buddhist altars and memorial items.

Each <Joe> is carefully handcrafted by a creator with over 20 years of experience.
We select high-quality materials such as natural rush grass from Yatsushiro, Kumamoto, washi tatami, and a wide variety of unique edge fabrics including kinran brocade, kimono cloth, and imported textiles.
We also accept custom orders—choose your preferred size and fabric, or bring your own memorable cloth for a truly one-of-a-kind mini tatami.

• Tatami surface: Natural rush from Kumamoto / Washi tatami / Polypropylene tatami
• Tatami core: Natural wood fiber, etc.
• Tatami edge: Kinran brocade, kimono, furoshiki, imported fabric, and more

<Joe> mini tatami from Chonan Tatami is popular as a gift, interior accent, base for hina dolls, display or altar stand for pets and Buddhist items, and more.
We also offer collaboration pieces combining flowers and tatami, which are highly regarded.

Handling & Care
• Natural rush may change color if exposed to direct sunlight. Please enjoy this natural aging as part of the tatami’s unique charm.
• Avoid getting the product wet, as natural rush does not tolerate moisture well.
• Each item is handmade, so size and pattern placement may differ from the photos.
